Mary Eingieser and Nicolaus Smith were on the passenger list of the Ship Silvie de Grasse to New York on 24 August 1835. Also on this ship were Peter Smith, Jacob Smith, Anthony Smith, Caroline Smith, Jacob Smith, Wilhelmina Smith, Joseph Smith, Mary Ann Smith, Frank Smith and Margaret Barbara Kaufmann.³ Mary is the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Perkins Township, Ohio. Mary (age 40-50) is living in Perkins Township with: One male child 5-10 years of age (Frank); Two males age 15 to 20 (Nicholas and Lewis); Two males age 20 to 30 (John Jacob and Anthony); Two female children under 5 (Christine and Mary Catherine); One female child 5 to 10 (Mary Ann); One female age 15 to 20 (Wilhelmina); One female age 20 to 30 (John Jacob's wife Mary Mayer born 1816?); One female age 70-80 (mother, Margaret Barbara Kaufman Eingieser).⁴ Mary is the head of a family on the 18 December 1850 Census in Perkins Township, Ohio. Mary 55 living with her children: Francis 17, Christine 15, Catherin 12, Also living in the household: Philomena Eckart 26, Anthony Eckart 7, Mary Eckart 4. Value of real estate = $950.⁵ Mary died on 2 November 1853 in Sandusky, Ohio, USA at age 57. Her body was interred on 4 November 1853 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sandusky, Erie, Ohio, USA.⁶ Her will was probated in Erie, Ohio, USA, in December 1853.

On Tuesday, 31 January 1815 in St. Vitus in Vestrup, Niedersachsen, Germany, Johan Otto Rieman witnessed the marriage of Johan Bernard Meyer and Anna Catherine Maria Dorothea Rieman. Witnesses -- Herman Henry Thole and Otto Rieman.¹ Johan Otto Rieman became Maria Gertrud Rieman's godparent at her baptism in Sankt Gertrud in Lohne, Niedersachsen, Germany on 2 March 1824.²
