On Saturday, 24 February 1816 in Brücken (Pfalz), Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, at age 19, Mary Eingieser married Nicolaus Smith, son of Jacob Schmitt and Ludovica (?). Joannes Nicolas Schmitt, widower of Margarthee Schafer of Persheim, to Anna Maria Eingieser. 24 FEB 1816; Roemisch-Katholische, Bruecken, Pfalz, Bayern.2 As of 24 February 1816, her married name was Mary Smith (Eingieser). Mary Eingieser and Nicolaus Smith were on the passenger list of the Ship Silvie de Grasse to New York on 24 August 1835. Also on this ship were Peter Smith, Jacob Smith, Anthony Smith, Caroline Smith, Jacob Smith, Wilhelmina Smith, Joseph Smith, Mary Ann Smith, Frank Smith and Margaret Barbara Kaufmann.3 Mary is the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Perkins Township, Ohio.
