     Nancy Haines was born in 1815. On Monday, 29 January 1838 in Toledo, Ohio, USA, Nancy Haines married Timothy Emerson. As of 29 January 1838, her married name was Nancy Emerson (Haines). Nancy Haines is listed as Timothy Emerson's wife on the 17 July 1860 Census in Frenchtown Township, Michigan.1 She made a will on 12 March 1886. "We allotted and assigned to George Emerson, Frank Emerson and Joseph Emerson to hold to themselves and to their heirs and assigns forever, as tenants in common (according to the election of their guardian, Richard Lamb) and as for their right and portion of said real estate and premises as the same was adjudged to them by said Court, six of said equal parts to wit; all that certain piece or parcel of land, being subdivision number 1 according to the said survey and plat, containing 36 and 33/1-00 acres, exclusive of the railroad grounds and appraised at fourteen hundred and forty dollars, being of the said Estate.". Nancy Haines died on 13 October 1886. She's will was executed on 6 January 1887. "The said Joseph Emerson, George Emerson and Frank Emerson, the wards of your petitioner (Richard Lamb), representing their said deceased father are entitled to his distributive share.".
