His father, Herbert, age 80, is living with him.8 Heribert is the head of a family on the 7 June 1900 Census in Perkins Township, Ohio. Herbert 52 and his wife Catherine 50 have been married 31 years and have 12 children, 10 of whom are living. They are living in Perkins Township, Erie County with their children: Charles 23, George Leo 22, Herbert 15, Josephine 24, Louise 15, Minnie 11, John 8. Occupation is farmer.9 He and George Leo Herb appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 in Perkins Township, Erie, Ohio, USA. Father and son are employed in general farming.10 Heribert died on 16 September 1937 in Sandusky, Ohio, USA at age 90.
Herbert Herb, a former well-known resident of Wilmer, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Biecheler, 220 Boalt Street, where he had lived for the past nine years, this afternoon at 12:16. Mr. Herb was aged 90 years, two months and nine days. He had been ill five days. Mrs. Herb died December 10, 1896 and three sons and a daughter also preceded him in death. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Herman Vogt, Mrs. Edward Busser and Mrs. Walter Boyles, all of Cleveland; Mrs. William Wagner of Utica, Mich., and Mrs. Joseph Homegardner and Mrs. Biecheler, Sandusky. Two sons, Charles of S. Hays Ave. and Leo of Wilmer, also survive, in addition to 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was a life-long member of St. Mary's church of Sandusky. The body has been removed to the Frey Funeral Home and will be returned to the residence Friday. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:30 at the residence and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church, the Rev. W. C. Zierolf officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
