Theresa Schmidt Naber
Biography: Per Wilhelmina Naber Kelley to her daughter Kathleen Kelley Kilcoin in 1970: After being married for quite awhile and not being pregnant, Theresia consulted an elderly itinerant herb doctor who came to the house. He gathered herbs, dried them; put them in two small bags. One she was to wear and the other to hang on the coal stove. He said she would have a child within a year; She did. Joseph had typhoid fever one year, and was very sick. Theresia tended him and he recovered. Their water came from a well which was at the rear of their yard. None of the children got it. When ever their Grandmother Smith Rampe came to visit from Glandorf, she always brought a basket covered with a white cloth. In it were delicious "Pound cookies".11 She was described as having blonde hair, brown eyes.
