Aurelia was very seasick and to keep her strength up a steward smuggled chicken soup to her so she could pass the physical at Ellis Island. They are heading for her brother's place in Blairsville. Biography: In 1913 they returned to Belgium, and were stranded in Belgium by WW I. Fidele worked for the resistance smuggling food into their area. They had a German soldier billeted with them. After Aurelia approached the German authorities and proved they were dual citizens, they were able to book passage back to America. They missed the ship's sailing and that ship was later bombed. They finally were able to leave on the SS Rotterdam.¹ Fidele is the head of a family on the 12 January 1920 Census in Ross, Ohio.
