On Monday, 29 April 1799, at age 21, Joshua Childers married Lucy Richardson.1 Joshua Childers and Henry Childers was in military service during the Revolutionary War on 4 March 1831. The pension application states that he served in the Virginia Militia in Captain Samuel Hickenbottem's company for six months in 1781. Joshua Childers is a signator on the pension application for his father. Joshua Childers died on 6 October 1856 at age 79.1
