He was the son of Ferenc Isépy and Borbála Fekete. He married Veronika Szunyogh, daughter of Adam Szunyogh and Katalin Ormós, in Reformed Church, Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary, on 29 May 1826. They were hastily married by a "reformed" (non-Catholic) priest. He was 36 years old and she was 22.^1,3,2

Antal Isépy and Veronika Szunyogh had 12 children between 1828 and 1844. All of the children were born in Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary. He was the best man at Terézia Isépy and Ignacz Illosvay's wedding in Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary, on 19 September 1844.²

In 1857 the Census listed Antal Isépy as the head of a family in Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary.⁴

He left a will in 1872 in Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary, He divided his property between his children. The house willed to Odon was the one that Ilona Isepy moved to when her husband died.¹ Antal died on 30 January 1883 in Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary, at age 93. He died of old age.^3,2 He was buried on 1 February 1883 in Magyar-Izsép, Zemplén, Hungary.^2,6
